A Case of Letterer-Siwe Disease

Abstract
|
|
|
Letterer-Siwe disease is a progressive and fetal rare disorder-of RES with characteristic clinical and histopathological findings.
This case was a 5 months old female who was complained of coughing, fever, skin eruption, abdominal distension and pallor, for 2 months duration.
Hematologic and other tests showed within normal limit except anemia. & mildley leukccytosis. and showed proliferations of histiocytes in the skin lesions. X-rays revealed diffuse infiltration in both lung fields.
She was treated with antibiotics and steroid, and slightly improved in general condition.
